We are the representatives of the Multifunctional Center from Leova, from the village of Cupcui, which hosts 36 at-risk children from all over southern Moldova. These wonderful children are deprived of parental love, deprived of home, family, happy childhood, deprived of the beauties of this world. However, we have a mission to integrate these wonderful children into society, so that they can go to school and not feel ignored. Every day we, the teachers of this center, try to bring them joy, come up with various activities for them, develop their social and artistic skills, and teach them moral values, such as trust, courage, integrity and respect. In particular, we pay great attention to the emotional security of these children and their emotional well-being, because those who come to our Center are at first very scared, since they were left by their parents, abandoned or even abused. We want to create a big family and to combine the professionalism of teachers with the warmth and kindness in relations with these children, to bring them closer to the society. Their childhood was stolen and they were very unlucky. It is pleasant to realize that our efforts bring results, children study well in school, they receive awards in sports competitions, they are interested in public life, and we see big differences compared to the period when they only came to us. But at the same time, it is very hard for us to cope, a lot of effort is needed, and our financial resources do not allow us to create the minimum necessary conditions for development. They really want their playground, a small greenhouse, where they will feel at home, where they will plant vegetables and fruits and enjoy the harvest. They also need air conditioning to keep warm until the heating is turned on. These are just a few things they need. We, the administration of the village, the administration of the center ask for your support because these children require conditions that will open up new perspectives for them, because every child deserves a happy childhood, full color, joy and adventures.
