A message from her mother:
Hello!
My name is Karina, and I am the mother of little Valeria. My daughter is five and a half years old, and since she was just a year old, she has been fighting an uphill battle for her life. Her first diagnosis was cerebral palsy, and later we learned she also has autism. It was a devastating blow for our family, but we chose to fight for every step and every smile. Thanks to the doctors and constant rehabilitation, Valeria learned to walk—a massive victory for us. After working so hard on her physical recovery, we’ve shifted our focus to her emotional and cognitive development, helping her better understand the world, communicate, and adapt.
For a year, we followed ABA therapy. Through daily work at home and tireless effort, we managed to help her gain back almost two years of development. But our journey is far from over.
Valeria still needs rehabilitation and help with socialization. We dream of teaching her simple yet essential things: to use the toilet, to eat on her own, to understand when she is spoken to, and to become more independent.
The cost of the necessary rehabilitation is 69,000 lei—an overwhelming amount for our family. It is hard for us to ask for help, but we do it for our daughter’s future and for her chance at a dignified life.
Every bit of support, no matter how small, brings Valeria closer to her next victory. We ask you from the bottom of our hearts not to look away.
With hope and gratitude, Karina, Valeria’s mother!
