At the invitation of the administration of Penitentiary No. 9, we spent time with the children of inmates to support them and bring them a little joy before the start of the school year.
Today was a remarkably simple yet deeply heartwarming day. We brought a hundred backpacks, put together with great care for the kids, and hosted a small celebration with sweets, smiles, and genuine warmth. It is moving to see how much happiness such a simple gesture brings a child.
No matter the mistakes of their parents, children are still just children. They deserve to walk into school with their heads held high, to smile, to dream, and to know that people care about them. We set out to hand over backpacks, but we left with our hearts full.
A heartfelt thank you to the management of Penitentiary No. 9 for the invitation and for working with us so openly. And to all our donors, we want to say simply this: inside every single backpack is a piece of your kindness.
We will keep standing by the children of Moldova.
