I am the father of two kids - Gleb (3 years and 7 months old) and Zlata (1 year and 10 months old). Two weeks ago we learned that our baby Zlata, our girl, has acute leukemia.
In the middle of September she suddenly had a fever, my wife and I took her to the hospital and did a general blood test. It showed a slight decrease in hemoglobin. We calmed down, but Zlata continued to have fever, she became sluggish, always wanted to sleep and she felt a pain in her legs
On October 8, she went to reanimation, due to a sharp decrease in hemoglobin and platelets. On October 16 we went to Moscow, to the oncology and hematology unit for children at Morozov Hospital, where after the first puncture they established the diagnosis "Acute leukemia", or bone marrow cancer ...
Since then our life became a terrible struggle, because according to the results of immunological analysis the girl was diagnosed with "Acute bilinear leukemia". It means she has lymphoblastic and myeloblastic leukemia, which are treated differently. There are no well-developed treatment protocols, because no one can tell how the illness will behave in the future and the only effective treatment for such a diagnosis is the bone marrow transplant after remission.

My wife is constantly with my daughter in hospitals, we sent our son to Chisinau to live with his grandmother. I live in Moscow, I am constantly running through the hospital and try to make some money, because my wife and daughter constantly need me.

The first chemotherapy session has been started, and we believe that we will finally enter the remission phase. With such a complex diagnosis, remissions are not long, so we must be ready at any time to make the bone marrow transplant. I do not know how to ask for help and where to start. I just want my daughter to live and my wife to smile again. She's a pediatrician and we were all so happy a couple of weeks ago.
