Valentin Shvets was born in 2004. His diagnosis is: Leukemia (Acute leukemia, limfoblastic version L1 (FAB)) and Cerebral Palsy. At the moment, Valentin is in a boarding school for children with cerebral palsy and polio in the city Hincesti.
Valentin is an orphan and has a legal guardian. His guardian is the retired person Vera Rotaru, who is not his biological relative, but is involved in his treatment using her own funds for two years in a row.
Vera Rotaru wants to heal and put Valentin, who became practically her son, on his feet, but she is very short of funds. Her pension (retired pay) is 600 lei.
From December 2014 to March 2015, Valentin had been treated in a hospital, underwent chemotherapy, but due to lack of funds from the guardian, he had to interrupt that treatment.
Valentin has difficulty walking due to cerebral palsy and needs a complex expensive treatment. Also, the boy needs constant special diet and regular maintenance procedures.
Currently, in the Republic of Moldova leukemia can not be cured, so the boy needs treatment abroad.
Valentin Shvets is a bright and very kind boy, a real fighter, who always looks at the surrounding world with a smile on his face. He has a great sense of humor; he loves life and wants to live it to its full extent.
Valentin requires our help.
