The construction of the church, which is made of wood, started in 1834 and over time it required special care. The parish priest, SergiuMaritsoi, since 2009 and till nowadays took care of the church both on the inside and on the outside. He was often assisted by the Christians from the village and from nearby regions. Unfortunately, on November 29, 2016, a fire took place and the church was badly damaged. Its restoration is nearly impossible. The parish that containsapproximately 950 people, wants to build a new church which with a surface of 120 square meters.

In order to start the construction of the new church one should demolish the old one, a process that requires 500 euros. In addition, one must create an architectural project for the new church that costs about 2000 euros. The preparation of the foundation, the cost of raw materials, windows and doors cost about 20000 euros. The wooden roof and the bell tower cost about 7500 euros. Despite the fact that the final sum is quite high, in the beginning we want to build at least a roof under which the local residents will be able to pray. Also, all donors will be listed as the founders of the church, and will be mentioned at each worship service.
