For ten years, we have been traveling to the most remote villages, stepping into small homes that the world seems to have forgotten. Sometimes, we are greeted by an elderly man whose only companion is the silence of an empty house. Other times, it is a mother who cannot look her children in the eye because she has nothing to put on their plates.

We have seen seniors spending the holiday with nothing but a single candle and a crust of bread. We have seen children for whom a simple Cozonac is a dream they have waited months for—a miracle in itself. Over the years, we have learned one simple truth: the greatest joy often comes from the most humble act of humanity.

For us, this is more than just charity. It is a chance to step away from the noise of daily life and remember the true heart of Easter: hope, light, and compassion for one another.

This year, we want to knock on those doors once again. We are preparing easter cozonacs, essential groceries, and holiday treats for these families. But more important than the supplies is the feeling that they are remembered—that they are not alone.
