A message from his sister:

I am writing this with a very heavy heart. My younger brother, Gheorghe, was until recently a young man full of life, energy, and big plans for the future. But at just 23, everything changed in a heartbeat. Gheorghe is a teacher—someone who truly loved his work, was passionate about sports, and cared deeply for everyone around him. He was always active and always had a smile for everyone. We thought life would always stay that way... but on March 2nd, the very day we were waiting for spring to arrive, our family received the most devastating news: my brother was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In that one moment, our lives were turned upside down.

Instead of enjoying his youth and chasing his dreams, Gheorghe is now fighting for his life in a hospital bed. It is a brutal, exhausting battle that requires long and incredibly expensive treatments. I watch him try to stay strong, trying to force a smile for us even when he is in unbearable pain. It is heartbreaking to see how unfair life can be. As his sister, it is agonizing to watch him suffer and know that I cannot save him on my own.

Gheorghe is only 23. He should be out in the world, starting a family and building his future. Instead, he is fighting for the most basic thing of all—the simple chance to stay alive. This is why I am pleading for your help.

Any contribution, no matter how small, gives my brother another day of treatment, another spark of hope, and another chance to survive. Please, do not look away from this fight. Every gesture of kindness means the world to us right now. It gives us hope that Gheorghe can beat this and finally go back to the life he loved.
