A message from his mother:

My name is Liudmila Zaharescu. I am the mother of the most wonderful child in the world—my son, Alexei. We waited eight long years for him; he is our only child and our greatest joy. Alexei was born prematurely, at just 25–27 weeks. He suffered a brain hemorrhage, spent 64 days in intensive care, and endured four surgeries. From his very first breath, my son's life has been a constant struggle.

Alexei is a true fighter. Every single day, he battles for his health, for every bit of progress, and for every new step forward. His diagnoses are severe: first-degree disability, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and developmental delays. Because of this, he requires constant medical evaluations and endless rounds of rehabilitation.

We try our best never to miss a treatment, as it is Alexei’s only chance for a future. However, the medical expenses are staggering, and our resources are nearly exhausted. That is why I am reaching out from the bottom of my heart to anyone who can help. Please, help Alexei continue his treatment.
