A message from his mother:

A little boy suffers in silence. Matei is a joyful child who lives with the hope that the day will come when everything will be ok. The day when he will be able to walk on his own... eat on his own... do the simple things that other children don't even think about.

Today, Matei cannot even drink water on his own and depends on me for every little thing. One day, with tears in his eyes, he asked me not to seat him at the family dinner table anymore—because it hurts him to see us pick up a spoon, eat by ourselves, and do things that seem out of reach for him.

At that moment, I couldn't hold back my tears; I pulled him to my chest and promised that the day would come when he, too, will be able to do everything on his own. A day when he will no longer feel helpless.

But ahead of us lies a very difficult road. A very difficult one. It hurts to watch your child suffer and feel that you cannot cope alone. That is why I ask you with a broken yet hopeful heart, asking you from the bottom of my soul to stand with us.

Help us give Matei a free childhood—pain-free, tear-free, barrier-free.
