A message from her daughter:

I never, in my wildest dreams, imagined I would be sitting here writing these words... We were raised to be strong, to face whatever hardships life threw at us without breaking. But today, I am writing for the person who means everything to our family—my mother. Asking for help is incredibly hard, but I am doing it because her life is on the line.

My mother, Soha, is the heart and soul of our home. Our family came here from Iraq, and we have lived in Moldova for over 11 years. In that time, my mother learned the language and fell in love with this country; it has truly become our home. At 56, she has given every ounce of herself to her five children. She worked until exhaustion, sacrificed everything she had, and did the impossible just so we could grow up and follow our dreams. Seeing her now, fading away as she battles this disease, is the most agonizing thing our family has ever endured.

In February, our world collapsed. My mother was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. She has already stepped into the ring: she is currently in her second round of chemotherapy and targeted therapy. Ahead of her lies a grueling surgery and a very long road to recovery. Throughout her life, my mother has faced so many health struggles and never once gave up—but this is the fight of her life. Unfortunately, the cost is simply too high. The medical bills are staggering and have completely drained everything we have. We are terrified by the thought that we might have to stop her treatment just because the money ran out.

Any help, no matter how small, gives my mother a chance. If you cannot help financially, please, just share our story. To us, that is just as precious. Today, we aren't asking for comfort; we are asking for her right to be with us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and for standing by us during these dark times.
