Sergiu Obada was the victim of a car accident in 2010. Since then, his legs are paralyzed. Doctors say that it is possible for him to be able to walk again, but the young man requires long-lasting recovery procedures and a complex surgery with cells transplant. These interventions are carried out abroad and they cost a lot of money.
We all have a dream: to create a family, to build a house, to buy a car, to travel the world and the list goes on. Unfortunately, Sergiu cannot accomplish these dreams alone; he needs us, our help. 7 years ago he was involved in a serious car accident and broke his spine. He was operated at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Chisinau, after which he was diagnosed with the lower thoracic spinal cord injury and paralysis of the legs.
Sergiu told us with hope in his voice that if he gets better, he will try to help other people who need support. Since then, his life took a different turn. He cannot walk alone and is assisted by his mother, Valentina Obada or his wife. Doctors say that it is possible for him to be able to walk again, but the young man requires long-lasting recovery procedures and a complex surgery with cells transplant. Such surgeries are carried out in Germany, Greece and the United States. His mother says with tears in her eyes: "It's very hard to have a child who is bedridden and can not walk."
Even if fate was cruel to Sergiu, this terrible diagnosis did not break him and the young man continues to fight every day. He does physical exercises and works at night. Together with his friend he creates websites, blogs, hoping to raise the amount of money necessary to carry out the treatment that would change his future. All that he has, Sergiu is ready to share with others.
People of good will turned out to be susceptible to this case and organized various charity events. Using the collected money Sergiu underwent recovery treatment in Greece and in Chisinau. After numerous physical therapy sessions, kinetotherapy sessions, he says he feels much better. There were times when he felt a better balance in legs and muscles, as if they were more active than usual. Unfortunately, the treatment stopped. The costs are much higher than the financial possibilities.
Encouraged by friends and parents, Sergiu began to "fight for life." Together we can do miracles!
Thank you.
