My name is Irina Tesсureanu and I suffer from Friedreich (FA) Ataxia. This is a nervous system disorder that can lead to a gradual loss of balance and coordination. Because of this, I began to depend on a lot of things that would help me move around. However, this disease couldn’t stop me in accomplishing my educational goal. Every step forward is literally a cry for help, but at the same time it brings me closer to my dream. In present, I am in a difficult financial situation, and I almost desperately ask for help from entrepreneurs, government bodies, companies, representative offices, etc.
What is it like to be among the best pupils, students? ... What is success, regardless of the circumstances? ... We admit that many succeed. However, I consider that the most important thing is the desire to improve the future and really do something for me and for society. I want to do what I like and what will allow me to make a living. All these reasons are the basis of my achievements.
In 2007 I graduated from the Chisinau Ecological College, specialty - tourism and hotels. Back in college, I fell in love with figures, and in 2010 I graduated from the State University of Moldova, Faculty of Finance and Banking.
Nevertheless, I could not apply my theoretical knowledge in practice, because I was disabled. So I started doing freelancing.
This encouraged me to aim even higher. I decided to do a master's degree abroad to find out how the financial and accounting system works in other countries and then apply the gained knowledge here, at home.
After repeated attempts, I entered the magistracy in London, at Westminster University, majoring in Finance and Accounting. Because of the high competition and because there were 4 places in the budget given to foreign students, I couldn’t get a scholarship. Nevertheless, I would very much like to start my studies there, especially as I was already accepted.
