Good afternoon, kind and caring people! My name is Alexandra, and my husband is Daniel. We are 27 years old. We are the parents of a beautiful little boy, Artiom. He is a year and 3 months old. We are in desperate need of your help, because the joy of our parenthood was overshadowed by the terrible news ... At the scheduled ultrasound, at 22 weeks we were given a terrible diagnosis: a complicated heart disease - HYPOPLASIA OF THE LEFT PART OF THE HEART and we were suggested to terminate the pregnancy. But we could not do that, because our girl already had a name, we constantly feel her movements in my belly and according to other ultrasound indicators she even exceeded our first-born. We already love her, we always talk to her and she answers us with her movements. According to doctors, she is very strong, despite the fact that her heart is anatomically different from other healthy children. At the last ultrasound we made at 25 weeks, the doctor told us: "This girl should live and she definitely will! And we believe him...
Now our girl is not in danger. She grows and develops well. For the time being, a cozy lodge in my belly provides all the necessary blood circulation. But as soon as she will be born, irreversible processes will begin in her body.
Now I am at 26 weeks of pregnancy. During this time we were in Kiev to verify the diagnosis and, unfortunately, it was confirmed.
In our country, we cannot undergo this surgery. And there are 3 surgeries planned: the first one should be held in the first days or hours after birth, the second in the period within 2-4 months and the third in 2-3 years. We may also require an intermediate surgery between the first and second one.
Our diagnosis is quite severe and the best option for us is the treatment at the German Cardiology Center in Berlin. They agreed to help us, as the doctors there have a lot experience and good forecasts for our case. But the sum for treatment is huge even for wealthy people, and we are a simple family with average incomes. The clinic is considering making the first 2 or 3 surgeries right away, as they should be made in the first months of life, and we will have to be there under their supervision all this time.
Please help us save our little girl! Give her a chance to hold her brother by the hand, laugh and enjoy life! Without this surgery, she has no chance! We really hope you can help us. After all, we are looking forward to meeting our girl and are confident that Victoria will win!
