A message from the parents:

Greetings! As parents of three, Kira’s story holds a special place in our hearts. She was deeply wished for — a daughter we dreamed of welcoming into our family, especially after being blessed with two sons. She was due to arrive in July.

The pregnancy went smoothly, without complications. When the time came to go to the hospital, we had no reason to expect that anything could go wrong. Kira was born weighing 5 kilograms, but the delivery was difficult. She was taken straight to intensive care, where she spent nearly a month connected to devices that kept her breathing.

At the age of one, Kira was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and severe motor delay. She’s now 6 years old, and for six years we’ve been going through a lot — therapy after therapy, treatment after treatment — to support her recovery.

Recently, we were offered a chance: a surgery in Serbia that could help Kira walk.

For us, the cost of this surgery is enormous. And post-operative rehabilitation is just as expensive. That’s why we’re turning to people with kind hearts— to help us give our daughter the future she deserves. We want her to be able to run around the playground, to carry her schoolbag when she goes to school.
